Keepin’ It Simple Silly! Quick Tip #1 for “What Is It?”
Answering the Question “What Is It?”
One of the biggest fears someone new to MLM has is answering the inevitable question “What is it?” to their prospects. The question is bound to come up so you have to know exactly what to do up front.
Here is what you do: Invite.
Invite the person to view a pre-recorded webinar or listen to a sizzle call.
If you have local meetings to introduce your opportunity then you can invite them to those. Personally I am a huge fan of webinars. Specifically pre-recorded webinars. It is so easy for someone to watch a webinar from their home at their convenience. No rushing to get to a meeting, finding a baby sitter or dealing with traffic.
It might sound simple but, believe me, when you are faced with the “What Is It?” question the first few times you will be so excited that you will want to tell them EVERYTHING you know about the company!
Resist that urge and simply invite.
You can say something as simple as this “I want you to see it the same way I saw it! Watch it and I will call you back in one hour.”
Or: “This short webinar explains it so much better than I ever could! Go ahead and watch it and I will call you back in an hour.”
Two things happen:
1. You don’t BOMBARD this person with too much info and scare them away.
2. You are doing something that they could easily do if they join your business. They will see that all they have to do is invite rather than explain.
