Do Moms Really Need Jobs To Help With Family Income?

As I go through my days I am constantly amazed at the amount of moms that are working low-paying part-time jobs to help their families make ends meet. I can’t help but wonder what is going through their heads on a daily basis!

My question for moms that work outside of the home on a part-time basis is “What does it cost for you to have a JOB?”

Let’s start with the obvious:

1. Time away from your kids. I know you have heard it a million times but they are only young once! Why do you want to leave them during the day?
2. Loss of family-time: Some of these moms work after daddy (or hubby) gets home. So when he is home you are gone and vica-versa. How in the world is this good for your family?

Okay, so the emotional cost is there. But you need the money, right? Here are some extra expenses that I can think of off the top of my head that you do not have when you have a JOB:

1. Gas money for your car to get to and from work. Gas is expensive!
2. Other auto expenses: You will be driving more so you will be having that car fixed more!
3. Money for working-girl clothes! Business-appropriate clothing is going to cost money.
4. Child Care. To pay this one for you to work a part-time job is down right crazy! Child care is expensive!
5. Fast food. Don’t fool yourself…you know you are not going to always pack food!
6. No tax breaks. A large chunk of your hourly wage is going to go straight to Uncle Sam.
7. For some moms there will be parking expenses.

I strongly encourage you to think this through. If you have a part time job even for $20 per hour (which is a high-paying part-time job!) and you have the extra expenses for Uncle Sam, gas for the car, business clothes, child care, parking and food what are you really adding to the family budget at the end of each week?

I am going to go out on a limb here and say you are not really contributing much to paying the household bills. Is the stress of leaving the kids and working for someone else really worth it?

Okay! I get it! You need money! Times are tough in America right now. People are struggling. Chances are you are one of those people! I am NOT suggesting you sit, do nothing and fall behind on your bills.

You need to get to work! Get to work for yourself, that is!

Working for yourself
at home could be exactly what you need. Check this out:

1. If you work at home you are going to get a tax break!
2. If you work at home you can work around your family schedule!
3. If you work at home you don’t need fancy clothes (heck, I work in my jammies a lot)!
4. If you work at home you don’t have extra gas and food expense.
5. If you work at home you don’t have to pay a babysitter.

I am a single mom who works at home online to support my family. I know it can be done. I hate to see moms leave the kids and go through that stress when it is just not necessary! You only live once, girl! Live it on YOUR TERMS!

The GREAT news for you is that there are systems in place online to help you be successful. You can work while the kids are sleeping and make more than you would at a part-time job.

I KNOW that you are thinking that you have heard of a lot of scams online. It is true. There are a lot of scams. But not everything is a scam. I have been working online long enough to be able to help guide you through the internet! You can learn from my mistakes!

The bottom line is this: I have a STRONG desire to help as many people make money online as possible! If you, or someone you know, is a mom who works outside of the house then contact me. If you don’t like the suggestions I have I have many contacts that work legitimate businesses online I can refer you to! I am in a position to help!

This was a great reminder for me. You are absolutely right. I am freaking out about money right now and really need some extra income but having a part time job having to leave the home is not the answer.
